Egyptian Sculptor | Master of Form and Expression
Born in 1974, Mostafa Hosny is an acclaimed Egyptian sculptor renowned for his transformative ability to turn raw materials into expressive and intricate artworks. His artistic journey began with a private exhibition in 2000 at the Art Complex in Zamalek, inaugurated by Egypt’s then-Minister of Culture, Farouk Hosny. Since then, he has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including the Youth Salon (2001), Alexandria’s Municipal Museum (2004), a private exhibition in Italy (2006), and events at the Cultural Center in Vienna (2011). He has also conducted workshops in Vienna (2008), further showcasing his artistic influence.
Hosny’s sculptures have been acquired by prominent collectors both inside and outside Egypt, with notable acquisitions in Dubai between 2018 and 2020. His work blends form, emotion, and structure, as demonstrated in his piece Chess Bull (2022). Made from treated iron, this 250x180x120 cm sculpture exemplifies his mastery of industrial materials and his commitment to redefining the boundaries of traditional sculpture.
وُلد مصطفى حسني في عام 1974، وهو نحات مصري مرموق يشتهر بقدرته على تحويل المواد الخام إلى أعمال فنية معبرة ومعقدة. بدأت رحلته الفنية بمعرض خاص في عام 2000 في مجمع الفنون بالزمالك، الذي افتتحه وزير الثقافة المصري آنذاك، فاروق حسني. منذ ذلك الحين، شارك في العديد من المعارض الوطنية والدولية، بما في ذلك صالون الشباب (2001)، ومتحف بلدية الإسكندرية (2004)، ومعرض خاص في إيطاليا (2006)، ومعرض في المركز الثقافي في فيينا (2011). كما قدم ورش عمل في فيينا (2008)، مما أبرز تأثيره الفني على المستوى الدولي.
تم اقتناء أعمال حسني من قبل مقتنين بارزين داخل مصر وخارجها، مع اقتناءات ملحوظة في دبي بين عامي 2018 و2020. تماثيله تتميز بمزيج سلس من الشكل والعاطفة والبنية، كما يظهر في عمله "ثور الشطرنج" (2022). صُنعت هذه القطعة من الحديد المعالج بمقاسات 250x180x120 سم، وهي مثال على براعته في التعامل مع المواد الصناعية واهتمامه بإعادة تعريف حدود النحت التقليدي.
