Barbarians Arrival

Inspired by Cavafy’s poem "Waiting for the Barbarians", Omar El-Fayoumi’s exhibition "Barbarians Arrival" reflects a world where suffering distorts reality, blurring the lines between good and evil. His solo exhibition expands on this vision, portraying a society consumed by chaos, where people grow feral in a desperate struggle for survival.

Despite witnessing these horrors, the artist remains an observer, refusing to partake in the madness. Yet, he fears that evil will continue to rise, unstoppable, until the only escape is destruction.
